Storytime Programs

All storytime programs are held in the Library Storyroom. Please try to arrive on time.  Please call 336-883-3666 for more information.


Recycling Craft -  Saturday November 8, 1:00 – 3:00 in the Storyroom. We will be doing a couple of simple crafts using recyclable materials to go along with the library art installation by Bryant Holsenbeck. The program is a drop-in craft for school age children.

Book Babies - November 10 & 17 at 10:00 in the Storyroom. A first storytime for babies, ages birth to 11 months, and their caretakers.

BookWorms Storytime – November 11 & 18 at 10:00 in the Storyroom. An active storytime for children ages 12 – 23 months.

Time for Two’s Storytime – November 11 & 18 at 11:00 in the Storyroom. An active storytime for two year olds.

Preschool Storytime 1 - November 12 & 19 at 2:00 in the Storyroom. A storytime program for 3-5 year olds.

Preschool Storytime 2 - November 13 & 20 at 11:00 in the Storyroom. A storytime program for 3-5 year olds.

Spanish Storytime - November 8 at 2:00 in the Storyroom. A bilingual storytime for school age children.

Paws to Read - November 6 at 4:30 in the Storyroom. For beginning and reluctant readers – readers get to read to a special Paws to Read dog. Registration is required

Magic Tree House Club - November 18 at 3:30 in the Storyroom. A program for school age children focused on the popular book series.

Teddy Bear Storytime - November 14 at 4:00 in the Storyroom. A teddy bear storytime and craft. Bring your bear from home!

    Culinary Kids - November 20 at 6:30 in the Storyroom. A fun simple cooking program for school age children.

    Special Programs

    Occasionally we have musicians, animal shows, acrobats, jugglers, magicians, storytellers etc. come to the library for a special show. Or we might offer a holiday program, a carnival, bingo or some other fun event for kids.

    Tiny Turkey - November 22 at 1:00 in the Storyroom. An annual fall tradition – the musical comedy for kids presented by the Greensboro Storybook Theater.

    Native American Storyteller, Daphine Strickland - November 11 at 3:00 in the Storyroom. Celebrating Native American Heritage Month with a storyteller from the Lumbee Tribe.

      Movie for Kids – Maleficent -  November 29 at 2:00 in the Storyroom.
