Manga/Anime Club Meeting

4:30pm in the Book Lovers Room.

The His & Herstory of American Comedy

7:00pm at the High Point Theatre. General admission tickets are $5. Comedian/author Darryl Littleton, aka D'Militant, will discuss his book Black Comedians on Black Comedy: How African-Americans Taught Us to Laugh. From Amos & Andy to Bill Cosby, Red Foxx to Richard Pryor, this presentation will discuss how the African American community has influenced, and is influenced by, comedy as presented by black comedians, as well as the social implications across all races that these comedians provide. A book signing will take place 6 - 6:45 pm, the presentation begins at 7 pm, with an additional follow-up book signing afterward.


10:30 - 12:00pm on Friday, 8 Feb and Friday, 22 Feb, 3rd Floor Book Lovers’ Room. The Heritage Book Club meets twice this month over the topic of our Loyalist ancestors. Why did individuals remain loyal to the King during the Revolution? What happened to them when their cause collapsed? The club has selected four books. Pick one and join the discussion.
